Compendium Rarissimum anno 1057 (or anno 1775)

The seals of the 3 Princes of Hell: Satan, Leviathan and Belial in Compendium Rarissimum.

I have stumbled upon a rare grimoire dated to 1775. The book contains infernal rites of necromancy (they feel Satanic to me), but unfortunately the book is not yet translated from old German and Latin into English.

You may read this ancient grimoire here:

A page from Compendium Rarissimum that describes necromantic practices of Kabbala.

As in the book “The book of the sacred magic of Abramelin the mage”, this old manuscript contains the seals of 4 chief spirits: Lucifer, Satan, Leviathan and Belial.

I regard this grimoire as Satanic, because I myself call upon these 4 chief spirits (Princes of Hell) when I do my Satanic  spiced rituals.

The 4 Princes of Hell (Lucifer = East; Satan = South; Leviathan = West; Belial = North) rule 8 sub Princes or Dukes.

Note: the source of this information regarding the names of the 4 chief Princes, 8 sub Princes and the 12 Elemental spirits found in Compendium Rarissimum is:

Mihai Vartejaru (http://studies-vartejaru.blogspot.se/2014/12/compendium-rarissimum-part-i.html)

So, the 8 sub Princes or Dukes are:

Astaroth (seal in Goetia and in Compendium Rarissimum)

Magoth (Magoth is mentioned in”The book of the sacred magic of Abramelin the mage” too, and he is under the rule of Leviathan.

“The book of the sacred magic of Abramelin the mage” is the source of these words:

“MAGOT:– May be from Hebrew MOVTH = small stones or pebbles; or from MG = a changing of camp or place; or from Greek, MAGOS, a magician. Usually written Maguth.”

After reading the word Maguth I started to comb Google for the seal of Maguth and found it. Mihai Vartejaru has the seal of Maguth on his website. Look here: http://studies-vartejaru.blogspot.se/2017/05/seals-of-seven-ministers.html

Maguth is the King spirit of Thursday (a lesser spirit of Air)

The seal of Maguth who obeys Leviathan in the Western Quarter of the Satanic ritual circle.

Asmoday (seal in Goetia and also in Compendium Rarissimum)

Beelzebuth (seal available in Grimoirium Verum and also in Compendium Rarissimum)

Oriens (no seal, but Oriens is called for Samael in the book “The book of the sacred magic of Abramelin the mage”, and the seal of Samael is available)

Paimon (seal in Goetia)

Ariton (no seal)

Amaymon (seal available in the Sworn book of Honorius)

The seal of Amaymon. Both the seals of Asmoday and Amaymon should be yellow (these 2 belong to Tiphareth/Thagirion ruled by the planet Sun)

These 8 sub Princes are found in the book “The book of the sacred magic of Abramelin the mage” and I will describe them here, but a little later, to shed light on the nature of Paimon and others.

The summary so far:

The 4 Princes of Hell are:

EAST QUARTER= LUCIFER   ((RULES: ASTAROTH (seal +) AND ORIENS (seal -))

Note: Oriens is called Samael in “The book of the sacred magic of Abramelin the mage”.

SOUTH QUARTER = SATAN (RULES: ASMODAY (seal +) AND ARITON (seal -))

WEST QUARTER = LEVIATHAN (RULES: MAGOT/MAGUTH (seal +) AND PAIMON (seal +))

NORTH QUARTER = BELIAL (RULES: BEELZEBUTH (seal +) AND AMAYMON (seal +))

Source: “The book of the sacred magic of Abramelin the mage”.

Seal – = seal not available yet in my library of seals; seal + = seal available in my sources.

The picture (above) is a map of the ritual circle, which is “described” in the Compendium Rarissimum.

Red = the Crowned Princes of Hell. Blue = the 8 inferior Dukes who obey their Prince of Hell. Astaroth and Samael obey Lucifer.

The 12 Elemental spirits

A page with the names of the demons. Compendium Rarissimum anno 1775.

The 12 Elemental spirits (Air = 3 seals; Fire = 3 seals; Water = 3 seals; Earth = 3 seals) are:

Morech (no mention of this spirit in the book”The book of the sacred magic of Abramelin the mage”)

Nabhi (see the red text below)

the spirit Habhi (note: not Nabhi!) is mentioned in “The book of the sacred magic of Abramelin the Mage/Dover/ISBN-13: 978-0-486-23211-9, page 105, and Habhi is under rule of Amaymon

Tirama (see the red text below)

the spirit Tirana (Note: not Tirama!) is under rule of Paimon (source: “The book of the sacred magic of Abramelin the Mage”)

Nudaton (see the red text below)

the spirit Nuditon (Note: not Nudaton!) is under rule of Amaymon (source: “The book of the sacred magic of Abramelin the Mage”)

Zagrion

Carufur

Rigalon

Zugula (see the red text below)

(could it be the Goetic Vapula?) The book of the sacred magic of Abramelin the Mage contains a spirit under the name Zagalo and he is under the rule of Asmoday. Can we equate Zagula with Zagalo?

Ramaison

Kilik (see the red text below)

(Kilik is mentioned in “The book of the sacred magic of Abramelin the Mage and Kilik is under rule of  Ariton)

Sumuran

Allogiel

Conclusion:

The source of this information regarding the names of the 4 chief Princes, 8 sub Princes and the 12 Elemental spirits occuring in Compendium Rarissimum (those printed in black):

Mihai Vartejaru (http://studies-vartejaru.blogspot.se/2014/12/compendium-rarissimum-part-i.html).

I really hope that Mihai Vartejaru will translate Compendium Rarissimum into English very soon, because I believe that many Witches want to summon these spirits by the practice of these rites.

The seals of these 12 Elemental spirits are available in the Compendium Rarissimum, but we don’t know which seal to match to a particular Elemental spirit.
