They know a little bit about Buddhism and about the New Age stuff. Let them think that you practice that kind of New Age stuff.
These people are not even aware of demons like Focalor who can cause ships to sink and cars to be smashed. Practitioners of the Occult are well aware that Focalor can cause deadly accidents.
There is the second group of atheists – the non believers in the Occult. These people think that people are superior to god and to demons.
These people are naïve fools and you should be very careful with them. Stay away from this category of people, because they often like to misuse their powers as a boss over you, because they assume that you are powerless.
What if they misuse their powers to such an extent that they make you really sad? What if they end up bound to a wheel chair for the rest of their life after your curse?
Very bad accidents can happen after angry curses. What if there were witnesses of your conflict with the person in question? So, it is a wise action, to keep your Occult practices private.
I am sure that these people at your work don’t have any Occult protection that will reflect your curse back to you. But some Occult practitioners and also some non practitioners have this kind of protection from witches.

There is a lot of competition at work. Bosses compete with bosses. A demon such as Andromalius can protect you from the plots of your bosses.
