This post is about the planetary talisman of Mercury. Parts of this fantastic talisman are described in the “Three books of occult philosophy” written by H. C. Agrippa.
The talisman contains:
the square of Mercury
the seal of Mercury
the seal of the Intelligence Spirit of Mercury, Tiriel (the mind of Mercury)
the seal of the Spirit (Demon) of Mercury, Taphthartharath
Other planetary talismans

The square of Mercury

The numbers in the square of Mercury are obtained from another square. That “other” square of Mercury contains Hebrew letters.
Because each Hebrew letter has a numerical value, it is possible to end up with a square of Mercury that contains numbers.
The seal of Mercury, the sigil of Tiriel and the sigil of Taphthartharath are all born from the square of Mercury.

Some people like to use the numerical square of Mercury in their rituals, but some do not use the square.
Some people construct their own version of this talisman: they include the square of Mercury, the seal of Mercury and the seal of Tiriel. The sigil of Taphthartharath is not included in their version of this talisman.
It is said that the Intelligence Spirit of Mercury, Tiriel, is benevolent. Taphthartharath is the Spirit (Demon) of Mercury, and he is malevolent.
The task of the Intelligence Spirit of Mercury in this talisman is to control and temper Taphthartharath. The talisman is of “neutral” nature then.
The Spirits we collaborate with influence our thought patterns in both the conscious and the subconscious minds.
Such talismans like this one will influence you powerfully and push you into action.
You know that we create our lives with the power of our thoughts. Thoughts become thought forms as time goes by. Then we act and do things.
Such talismans like this one are created on a specific day of the week and during a specific astrological hour.
The sphere of Mercury on the Tree of Life is ruled by the planet Mercury. The rules of Qabalah say that the day of the week assigned to the Sephira Hod, to the Qlipha Samael and to the planet Mercury is Wednesday.
Create this talisman during a Wednesday and during the hour of Mercury. Full moons are best.
It is a good idea to have your natal (birth) chart done for you. The planets in our natal charts can be fortunate and also unfortunate.
Also factors such as planetary retrogrades in real time have to be considered.
If Mercury (in your natal chart) is fortunate:
This talisman will make you grateful and lucky, and bring you financial gain and also protect you from poverty. It will make you wise and grant you a good understanding of the Occult.
If Mercury (in your natal chart) is unfortunate:
This talisman will do the opposite, that is, it will not bring you financial gain and it will not protect you from poverty. It will not grant you a good understanding of the Occult and it will not make you wise.
