The Tarot divination of the Golden Dawn Hermetic Order

Very strange things are happening to me after I lately summoned my patron Lucifer and some Goetic spirits. They want me to study the Qabalah on a very deep level and a male’s voice in my head explains to me the meaning of all the paths on the Tree of Life, keys and numerical values of Hebrew letters and how to navigate the paths connecting the Sephiroth. I seem to understand the Golden Dawn book written by Israel Regardie on a level unknown to be before.

Today’s post will describe my Tarot divination done recently. Before doing a reading one should formulate a question. What do you want the cards to show or answer? I won’t reveal my enquirer of the divination due to the promise to contain her privacy. We had to choose a card representing this lady, that is, the significator card. Generally, if you want to choose a significator for a woman of age 30 and older here are some suggestions:

Queen of Pentacles = A dark haired woman with fair complexion

Queen of Swords= A dark haired woman with tanned skin

Queen of Wands = A blond woman with fair compexion

Queen of Cups = A dark haired woman with fair compexion

You will need a deck of Tarot cards = Minor Arcana + Major Arcana

Shuffle the cards well. Cut in the middle of the deck to divide into 2 parts. Lay the 2 parts on the table face down. Below you see the Tetragrammaton, that is, Gods fourfold name in Hebrew. Hebrew is read from right to left. The first letter from the right end is Yod, then comes Heh, then, Vah, then Heh. The yellow index cards show these four Hebrew letters from right to left: Yod Heh Vah Heh.

Cut the left part into 2 parts. Place the cut half to the right. Cut the right part into 2 parts. Place the cut half to the right. Now you have 4 parts. The part to the right is under the card Yod that represents the Element of Fire and the suit of Wands in the Tarot system. Move to the left and you will find the part under the card with the Hebrew letter Heh. This Heh letter belongs to the Element of Water and the suit of Cups in the Tarot system.

Move one step to the left. Now you are facing the the Hebrew letter Vah, which denotes the Element of Air and the suit of Swords. Move your final step to the left to the letter Heh. You are dealing with the Element of Earth and the suit of Pentacles. Now, turn all the parts upside down and look at the upper cards.

Read the cards from left to right: monetary affairs in stormy weather. Hardships regarding the inflow and outflow of resources. Failure and loss of hope probably due to the wrong choice of profession made in the past. But a sudden event is coming and there will be more stability in everyday life.

Now comes the most meaningful part of this Golden Dawn divination. You’ll think that it’s long and too complicated, but I have experienced that the method gives exact predictions. This is because it’s based on mathematics. Find the heap of cards with the significator without disturbing the order of the cards in this heap. I had chosen the Queen of Pentacles as the significator card for my enquirer. You can see this card in the second heap from the right under the Hebrew letter Heh.

Choose this heap of cards for your divination. Put away the three other parts, because you will not need them. Spread the cards of the chosen heap from left to right but preserve the order of the cards. Your spread will be a horseshoe.

Locate the significator card, in my case it’s the Queen of Pentacles. There is a mathematical formula regarding how you count cards while you move counter clockwise. This formula is based on the keys of the paths that connect the Sephiroth on the Qabalistic Tree of life. Each path has a number and a Hebrew letter assigned to it. Below is the Tree of Life you will find the Hebrew alphabet so you can do your calculations and moves.

The Tree of Life

This is the Tree of Life.

The Hebrew Alphabet

Hebrew alphabet Qabalah Golden Dawn
This is a small part of the Hebrew alphabet.

Aleph is a single letter in Hebrew. This means that Aleph does not change into another letter and another numerical value if it occurs at the left end of a word (since Hebrew is read from right to left).

Key for single letters = 12. This means that you should move 12 cards counter clockwise in your horseshoe including the card you have encountered last.

Hebrew alphabet Qabalah
These are some letters of the Hebrew alphabet.

Dallet, Heh, Vahv and Zy-in are all single letters. The same key of 12 applies to them: you should move 12 cards counter clockwise in your horseshoe including the card you have encountered last.

Hebrew alphabet Qabalah
These are also some Hebrew letters.

Chet, Teht, Yud (Yod) and Lahmed are single letters. The same key of 12 applies to them: you should move 12 cards counter clockwise in your horseshoe including the card you have encountered last.

Kaph is a double letter. If it occurs at the end of a word it will change it’s appearance and turn into Dallet, but with the numerical value of 500 and it will be read as Kaph. I will explain this in detail below so hold on.

5 additional letters in Hebrew

Exception to the rules (see the two photos here):

1. The letter with the value 500 is actually Dalleth that turns into Kaph, because it is found at the end of the word.

2. Final Mehm = value 600/ has another appearance if at the end of word

3. Final Nun = value 700/has another appearance if at the end of word

4. Final Peh = value 80/has another appearance if at the end of word

5. Final Tzah dee = 900/has another appearance if at the end of word

Totally = 5 letters that complicate the process of sigil creation and Tarot divination, because they change their appearance if found at the end of the word.

So, as you have noticed there are 5 exceptions to the rules, that is, 5 double letters in total. A key of 9 applies to them: you should move 9 cards counter clockwise in your horseshoe including the card you have encountered last. The rest of the Hebrew alphabet is found below:

The key for Aleph, mem and shin is 3. This means that you should move counter clockwise 3 cards including the card you last encountered.

Key of the Aces: count 5 cards from every Ace card, including the the card you last encountered.

Key of the Page (knaves/princess) cards = 7 cards, that is, move counter clockwise 7 cards including the card you last encountered.

Key of the King, Queen and Prince (knight) cards = 4 cards, that is, move counter clockwise 4 cards including the card you last encountered.

Key of small cards (from the twos to the tens) = their own number. If your last card you encountered is 10 of Wands, move 10 cards counter clockwise including the 10 of Wands in your counting of 10.

I start from the significator card in my horseshoe. The Queen of Pentacles is the significator card and it is found as the 3rd card from the right end of the horseshoe.

Key of the King, Queen and Prince (knight) cards = 4 cards, that is, move counter clockwise 4 cards including the card you last encountered.

Okay then, I move counter clockwise 4 cards including the Queen of Pentacles. I end up with the Page of Wands which means news related to career or work.

Key of the Page (knaves/princess) cards = 7 cards, that is, move counter clockwise 7 cards including the card you last encountered.

Okay, I move 7 cards counter clockwise including the Page of Wands. I end up with The Magician = skill and occult knowledge, time to be active and seek out new opportunities for realisation of self. Now lets look at the Qabalistic Tree of life to locate the path of the card called Magician.

The path of Magician connects Kether and Binah and the letter Beth is assigned to this path. Beth is a single letter. Apply the key of 12 for single letters in the Hebrew alphabet. Key for single letters = 12. This means that you should move 12 cards counterclockwise in your horseshoe including the card you have encountered last.

DSC02074

I move from the Magician (including this card into my counting) 12 cards and counterclockwise.  I end up with the 10 of Swords in the left end of the horseshoe = end of a situation or/and/with failure.

From the 10 of Swords (it is a small card) count it’s own number, that is, ten and counterclockwise, including the 10 of Swords into your counting. I end up with the 8 of Pentacles = professional skill that can be turned into an income someday.

From the 8 of Pentacles (it is a small card) count it’s own number counter clockwise, that is, eight, including the 8 of Pentacles into your counting. After this movement I end up with the Temperance card = seek to find balans in the current situation and dilute your feelings.

Samech is a single letter (look up the path of the Temperance card on the Tree of Life). Yesod and Tiphareth are connected with the path of Temperance, although it is not shown on this Tree of Life above.  Key for single letters = 12.

I end up with 7 of Wands = facing some opposition, but finding the courage to proceed.

DSC02074

7 of Wands is a small card and this means that you should move 7 cards counter clockwise including the 7 of Wands into your counting. I end up with the Emperor = strife of the situation/ great ambition and drive are needed.

Find the path of the Emperor on the Tree of Life. The letter Heh is assigned to this path. Heh is a single letter = key of 12 must be applied. Count 12 cards counter clockwise including the Emperor card with which the counting begins. I end up with the Moon = dissatisfaction/illusion of the situation.

The path of the Moon on the Tree of Life corresponds to the letter of Koph (Qoph on this Tree of Life) = single letter, and you should apply the key of 12. Count 12 cards counter clockwise including the Moon into your counting. I ended up with 8 of Pentacles. Because I already encountered this card before, this will mark the end of this part of the Tarot reading. Now I will summarise all the messages from the cards to paint my enquirers life situation as best as possible.

news related to career or work TRUE

skill and occult knowledge, time to be active and seek out new opportunities for realisation of self TRUE

end of a situation or/and/with failure TRUE, THIS HAPPENED 3 YEARS AGO

professional skill that can be turned into an income someday TRUE BUT WHICH ONE OF THEM?

seek to find balans in the current situation and dilute your feelings SOUND ADVISE

facing some opposition, but finding the courage to proceed THERE IS OPPOSITION, SO THIS IS TRUE

strife of the situation/ great ambition and drive are needed TRUE, BUT WHERE TO FETCH THE DRIVE?

dissatisfaction/illusion of the situation TRUE

Now take one card from the right end of the horseshoe and pair it with the end card on the left end of the horse shoe. Continue to pair the end cards and read the messages.

10 of Swords + 2 of Wands = influence from the societal rules and regulations has resulted in failure. Looking for a solution, calculating the next move.

Bonnie Berzova_Tarot_Qabalah_Golden Dawn

Ace of Wands + Queen of Wands = beginning of a new move in the career with the aid of a fair skinned woman.

Bonnie Berzova_Tarot_Qabalah_Golden Dawn

Moon + the significator card (Queen of Pentacles) = the enquirer feels dissatisfaction with the run of her life.

Bonnie Berzova_Tarot_Qabalah

Judgement + 7 of Wands = awakening to the desire that comes from within, but knowing that this path will not be easy. It’s a lonely path.

Bonnie Berzova_Qabalah_Tarot

9 of Wands + 4  of Swords = working without payoff, but recovering and expecting change for the better.

Bonnie Berzova_tarot_Qabalah

10 of Wands + Page of Wands = burdened with tasks that one has to do and expecting news related to these tasks.

Bonnie Berzova_Tarot_Qabalah

9 of Pentacles + 7 of Cups = increase of money was the promise or the illusion of the situation/little success came out of this/no drive left to proceed with the task imposed upon oneself.

Bonnie Berzova_Tarot_Golden Dawn

Temperance + 3 of Pentacles = balans in feelings is needed. Distract yourself from the situation and monetary concerns.

Bonnie Berzova_Tarot_Qabalah

The lovers + 8 of Pentacles = you have a choice to make the best out of this situation + skill that needs to be developed.

Bonnie Berzova_Tarot_Qabalah

Page of Cups + the Emperor = you are living a new life now, your life path is reborn so you start anew. Therefore you feel the strife. Ambition and drive are needed.

Bonnie Berzova_Tarot_Qabalah

The Star + The Magician + The Sun = promise of a fulfillment of desire + time to act and seek new opportunities + gain and success.

I now conclude this second part of the reading:
